The composition of carefully selected ingredients has been scientifically proven to reduce and protect the skin from signs of aging. Well-being, moisturized and younger skin also from the inside.
Hyaluronic acid gel is the latest technology in the cosmetics industry: the product contains hyaluronic acids of different sizes. These molecules of different sizes enable high-quality hyaluronic to be absorbed into even the deepest layers of the skin.
The best product for our skin has a mix of large and small molecules, as they are proven to bring longer lasting effects!
Cristel Studio Beauty hyaluronic acid gel
Large molecules contained in the product
Sizes 1,000kD* – 1,500kD* or larger
The small molecules contained in the product
Size 600kD* or smaller
The smallest molecules contained in the product, i.e. Oligo-hyaluronic acid

In cosmetics, hyaluronic acid molecules of all sizes are entered in the INCI list of products with the same name, and are not listed separately.
Hyaluronic acid in cosmetics - size matters!
Roughly speaking, we can divide hyaluronic acid into two categories, high molecular and low molecular hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid found in the body is often a long-chain compound consisting of large molecular masses. In skin care, it is recommended to use short-chain compounds, which consist of small molecular masses, so that it can also have an effect deeper in the skin tissues. From this we can conclude that the effects of low-molecular hyaluronic acid are greater, because it also works under the skin's surface. However, both forms of hyaluronic acid are found in cosmetics, which is why it is good to always check the product's INCI, i.e. the ingredients from which the product is made. Hyaluronic acid recommended in cosmetics is called sodium hyaluronate.
What is hyaluronic acid?
Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of the body. Hyaluronic acid is an important ingredient especially for human connective tissues, as well as joints, lungs and muscles, because it is able to bind a lot of water (one gram of hyaluronic acid can bind up to 6 liters of water). When it binds water, it forms a gel-like substance.
In our body, hyaluronic acid lubricates the joints, maintains the moisture balance of the skin and is one of the factors that regenerate cells. Hyaluronic acid alone does not cause allergic reactions in the body.
Hyaluronic acid against wrinkles
Hyaluronic acid is one of the few ingredients that has a researched anti-wrinkle effect. Hyaluronic acid has the ability to bind a lot of water, which makes it able to moisturize the skin effectively. The lack of hyaluronic acid is especially noticeable as you get older, when you may experience joint pains, for example, but above all, the skin loses its natural moisture and elasticity, causing visible signs of aging. Lack of moisture in the skin is only one factor that causes wrinkles, in addition, wrinkles are caused by exposure to UV radiation and oxidative stress.
How to choose the best hyaluronic acid?
As said, all hyaluronic acids are good for the skin. However, the best product for our skin would be a mixture of both, however, so that the majority of the product is low-molecular hyaluronic because it has been proven to bring longer-term effects and to be more important for our skin. There are over-the-counter vitamins and liquids that contain hyaluronic acid. However, only a small part of the products that can be taken without a belt can have an effect on the surface of the skin, which is why we recommend bringing hyaluronic acid directly to the skin with high-quality products, in which case the effect is more localized and significantly more visible.
Size and efficiency of molecules
Long-chain / High-molecular hyaluronic acid (INCI: Sodium hyaluronate) – Acts on the surface of the skin
The largest form of Hyaluron is the one where the molecules are 1,000kD - 1,500kD or larger. These are relatively large molecules, which is why the greatest effect occurs on the surface of the skin. High-molecular hyaluronic acid forms a light and flexible membrane-like structure on the skin, which helps the skin retain moisture and elasticity, resulting in smoother and softer skin. Unfortunately, however, it comes off the skin more easily, so the effect is more short-lived.
-Molecular mass 1,000 kD* – 1,500 kD* or greater
-Effects for a short time
-Creates a moisturizing "film" on the skin
-Prevents the formation of impurities on the surface of the skin
-Smoothes and cares for the skin
Short-chain / Low molecular hyaluronic acid (INCI: Sodium hyaluronate) - Also works under the outer layer of the skin
Small molecular hyaluronic acid penetrates the surface layer of the skin. Strengthens the connection between skin cells and enhances moisture balance. The molecules are 600 kD* or smaller in size. Due to its smaller size, the molecules can act deeper under the skin's surface, making it more elastic and firmer, reducing wrinkles and preventing their formation. Low-molecular hyaluronic acid is able to be stored under the surface of the skin, so the effect is more long-lasting.
-Molecular size 600kD* or smaller
-Longer effect
-Stored under the surface of the skin
- Permanently smoother skin
Oligo-hyaluronic acid (ultra-short molecular chain/low molecular weight) : The smallest hyaluronic acid (INCI: sodium hyaluronate) – Works the deepest under the skin's surface.
The smallest possible hyaluronic acid compound, where the molecules are several times smaller than in regular low-molecular hyaluronic acid. Oligo-hyaluronic acid is a new compound on the market. Oligo-hyaluronic acid is very high quality and expensive, which is why it is only available in the highest quality products. It brings moisture to the skin from its deepest layers, creating a new and revived look for the skin. Why? Because the new collagen and elastane created on the skin stimulates the skin. After about three months of use, the deepest effect has been achieved. Repairs the skin, brings a fuller and softer look, prevents the formation of wrinkles from deep in the skin layers.
-Molecular mass 3kD* or less
-Long-term effect
-Stores deep in the skin tissues
-Permanent anti-wrinkle and reducing effect
*kD is kiloDalton. Dalton describes the molecular mass in hyaluronic acid and is the most accurate measure for determining the size of the molecule. The smaller the molecule, the deeper it can affect the skin tissues.
